I was there at this concert in 1983. It was as cool as it looked. The opening bands (Divynls and the Alarm) wouldn't go on because it was so wet and cold. U2 was determined to do the video, so the show went on. Props to them. Not only that, they felt bad about the conditions and said anybody with a ticket could go to a repeat show the next night at the University of Colorado Events Center. It was great, thanks U2!
This is my era , I remember they would only play this song on MTV in the wee hours of the A.M. along with New Years Day due to the political truth and religious truth that it is and still is!! Jesus is Christ !! Catholic
I don't Always listen to U2, but when i do , so do the neighbors :)
EDIT: Wow didn't expect that. Don't hesitate to check our new music video, young French guys that worked with Kenny Jones (Oasis, The Smiths, Björk...). See you!
Miss these day's , when there were none of these uneducated Snowflake's and all of us , all people could still enjoy life , you know what I mean , before these useles Offensive Snowflake Freaks were ever born
Yeah
I can't believe the news today
Oh, I can't close my eyes
And make it go away
How long?
How long must we sing this song?
How long, how long?
'Cause tonight, we can be as one
Tonight
Broken bottles under children's feet
Bodies strewn across the dead end street
But I won't heed the battle call
It puts my back up
Puts my back up against the wall
Sunday, Bloody Sunday
Sunday, Bloody Sunday
Sunday, Bloody Sunday, Sunday, Bloody Sunday (alright)
And the battle's just begun
There's many lost, but tell me who has won
The trench is dug within our hearts
And mothers, children, brothers, sisters torn apart
Sunday, Bloody Sunday
Sunday, Bloody Sunday
How long?
How long must we sing this song?
How long, how long?
'Cause tonight, we can be as one
Tonight, tonight
Sunday, Bloody…
