I was born to run
I was born to dream
The craziest boy you ever seen
I gotta do it my way
Or no way at all
And I was here to please
I’m even on knees
Making love to whoever I please
I gotta do it my way
Or no way at all
And then you came around
Tried to tie me down
I was such a clown
You had to have it your way
Or no way at all
Well
I’ve had all I can take
I can’t take it no more
I’m gonna pack my bags and fly
My way or no way at all
So, why don’t you turn me loose?
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
I gotta do it my way
Or no way at all
Why don’t you turn me loose?
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
I gotta do it my way
I wanna fly
I’m here to please
I’m even on my knees
Making love to whoever I please
I gotta do it my way
I gotta do it my way
And when you came around
You tried to tie me down
I was such a clown
You had to have it your way
Well
I’m saying no way
So, why don’t you turn me loose?
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
I gotta do it my way
Or no way at all
Why don’t you turn me loose?
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
I gotta do it my way
I wanna fly
Ooh, yeah
So, why don`t you turn me loose?
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
I gotta do it my way
Or no way at all
Why don’t you turn me loose?
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
I gotta do it my way
I gotta do it my way
Why don’t you turn me loose?
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
I gotta do it my way
I wanna fly
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
Turn me loose
Man, back in the 80’s, bumping a line, hitting the clubs in my red ‘82 Trans Am and dancing with with all the hot chicks. The songs were sexy, the times were sexy and the women were definitely sexy. I was a WOLF on the hunt. Now I’m an old hound dog laying around on the porch.
I was 10 when this came out and I clearly remember thinking Mike Reno was hot. Not that I even knew what that meant back then. But the tight spandex and leather trousers were a big deal back then! My mom wasn't keen on me buying the Get Lucky album due to Mike's red leather backside on front cover!
Loverboys music always takes me back to the best time in my life ( the 80's). The Music was better , the Cars were Better, Peope were Friendlier, and there wasn't all of this politically correct horseshit. All that you needed was a steady girl, a six pack of beer, some good friends, and Loverboy playing really loud and you were all set . Man, I miss those days !
IN 1981 I danced to this song with a beautiful young woman, four years later we met again and started dating. It's been a great 33 years together and we still love this song
