Used to camp out for days in front of venues to get Loverboy tickets in the 80s and remember the Loverboy posters in my high school locker. A time that will never happen again, thank you boys for a great ride!! Saw this band in 2013 (rip Scott!) and I swear when I closed my eyes I was in the 80s again. ❤️
Loverboy is one of the tightest bands I've ever heard. Great lead/rhythm guitar, bass guitar, and drums, plus Reno vocals pulls it all together. Matt Frenette is definitely underrated as drummer. This and Working For The Weekend are outstanding songs.
I remember in 1981 my Junior year of High school, we would play this cassette over and over on the weekend cruise, the chicks back then OMG!!1 I wish I was 17 or 18 again but sadly I grew old and 51 sucks. Man I miss the 80,s so badly, best time of my life including the birth of my son..
It's a rare band that still tours together with all the originals 35 years later outside of the bassist Scott Smith who was killed in a boating accident. RIP Scotty.
Probably my favorite Loverboy song. It isn't very flashy or spectacular, but I like it that way. The guitar riffs are great, Mike Reno brings fire with his vocals, and the band is just firing at all cylinders for sure here. Shame it doesn't get more airplay today.
It always freaks me out how much Mike Reno looks like Emilio Estevez. He has an amazing voice, even still they sound amazing. Such a great album, one of the best of the 80's for sure.
