It's those kind of songs that put me in a transformative mood in a second. The great "Q" delivering this 1974 performance along with a stellar cast of established musicians and A-list session players. Listening to this, reminds me of the NASA Apollo astronauts walking on the Moon while enjoying this piece of music. It would be extraordinary!
I've been listening to the "Q" since I was 17. He is one of my musical arranging heros. I have noticed that Quincy when recording a tune for the second time will change the arrangement...the man's musical ideas are endless. He is a contemporary musical genius that is required listening for anyone entertaining the idea of becoming an arranger in this modern age.
I keep listening to this..my god...soooooo beautifully arranged..prettiest bass line in the world.....thats a fender bass ...and every body trying to make their version of a fender...well this is what a fender bass sounds like ...in the hands of chuck rainy and others such as james jamerson exc exc...there's no need to try to make a better fender ...leo fender got it all right from the very beginning...my second time thanking you for this post
...means so much to me....again thanks for posting this...
Some music...just goes beyond the meaning of beautiful...this is so pretty , this is not one of those tunes..like beautiful yet it all ends to soon ...leaving you wishing that it would have lasted just a little longer...this tune gets into your head ,grabs the heart and takes you on a wonderful journey of love ..there's no racket going on...simply arranged..simply wonderful...i can listen to this kind of music all day and still have room for thought ....this music is the perfect example of less is more... Thanks for this post...you truly know your music...
