When my little sister past away in August 1986 at the age of 6, and this song was playing on the radio. I can remember listening to it. I was eight at the time when she passed away. The line that says, "I thought I heard your voice yesterday, then I turned around to say that I loved you, then I realized that it was just my mind playing tricks on me", sticks with me. I remember my mom saying she would hear her voice. She even said she saw her in our home. I remember trying to remember the way her voice sounded. As time went by I forgot her voice. It's been 32 years and my baby sister April Nicole Thomas... I miss you, there's no other way to say it. I'm crying as I write this. I will love you forever. My best friend always. Until we meet again.

In December of 1985 I was 18 yrs old and in the Navy, stationed in Pensacola, Fl. at NTTC Corry Station. Jennifer Sinclair was stationed there too. She was my first love. After about 5 months together there, she was transferred to Guam; we were both sad. She cried a lot. I pretending to be ok, stoic, but I was heartbroken. Jennifer sent me a cassette tape with only this song, repeated several times. We talked on the phone, less and less until we lost touch after about 6 months. That was nearly 35 years ago. This will always be our song.
