Man if time machines ever hit the market they'll outsale Hondas, Toyotas, and Fords put together. Just look at the comments of songs like this one. I think we all miss the attitudes of people back then, they were less contentious and more easy-going. Seems like so many people today are hyper-sensitive, with their phone/cams at the ready playing "Gotcha". But man, great music, great times. No wonder we miss it.
This song's haunting melody and lyrics take me back to '65, just before the world really started going crazy. Even then, it always left me with a sort of prophetic feeling of things to come...
I just posted this on a long Facebook rant on "Where do you want to be now..." Today is April 26, 2020, so everyone in the world would understand the irony of this song at this moment. My answer to the question was "Moon", and because of the date this song IS very prophetic. This is how I felt when I was 16 years old then, and how I feel today.
This old favourite of this old 67 year old came to my mind as I looked out at empty streets hardly any cars on the roads no children playing outside just the wind howling
this song is HONESTLY my fav of all time...I play it over & over....takes me back to the days where things were so much more romantic.& safe..wish I could go back to those days....
