My parents song......when my dad died, this song just tore my moms heart out every single time she heard it --- still .......almost 30 years later, it hurts to hear but solo beautiful
My hired man said I hummed this a lot during the year of my divorce. When I met my new wife a couple of years later he said I often hummed "You are my special angel." Thirty-two years of misery, five years of bliss. I prefer the bliss.
Nobody will ever sing " There Goes My Everything " , with the heart and soul that Jack Greene (The Jolly Green Giant) as he was called, was able to sing that song. Mr. Greene possessed that quality which made country music special. I had this song played at my Dad's funeral!
I was lucky enough to get to know Jack Green in my 7 years in Nashville. He was such a kind gentle soul and I loved him. he had a true country voice and I still love it. Did u know Jack won the first male vocalist at the first CMA awards in 1967. and this song was song of the year.
such a timeless song, a lost hit of the 60s. Jack is the only person I want to hear sing this, he is by far one of the most underrated country singers in history.
At my husband’s funeral as the hearse was leaving the funeral home I WAS THINKING THERE GOES MY DREAM MY EVERYTHING! He was my EVERYTHING today I wish him a happy Heavenly Birthday! Still loving and missing my love FRANK DOLLAR
i still listen to country and lots of other music. But the music of today sucks. You can't understand what the hell they are saying, just loud music, so sad.
