Hawkwind - Master Of The Universe download

I am 75 years old. in my youth I used to listen to this shit. Still sounds crazy good to me because it is still Rock and Roll.

That bass section is honkin'. For some reason, the part where the pyschedelic breakdown ends and it's just the bass, I get teary eyed. It just sounds so triumphant.

Prog/space rock at it's absolute best, I've been listening to Hawkwind for over 20 years, never tire of them:)

Sweet to see everyone speaking so well of Lemmy and thanking him, despite the fact he wasn't on this album! A great loss nevertheless.

In 1972 I took my new and very beautiful 16 year old girlfriend to a Hawkwind gig in Brighton. She turned up in a perfect clean light blue dress, looking like a blonde angel. The gig was full of long haired tripping scruffy hippies, choking joss stick and hash smoke. There was a naked woman throwing herself around on stage and this earsplitting noise, well you couldnt call it music. She made me leave after 15 minutes and take her home. Never saw her again but I have seen Hawkwind many times since.

The audio generator is the "dude's rug" of this song because it ties the whole song together and wouldn't be the same without it

I wasn't born in the 70s but man it feels like I was reborn in an age where everything was so simple and the music was something you can call art.

I am 67 and have followed this band since their beginning. They don't get NEAR the credit they deserve for their work. It's a shame really....

My hubby plays this all the time , didn't like it at first but love it now

After listening to Hawkwind for 30 plus years, I have come to the conclusion that they are on drugs.

This track reminds me of Black Sabbath. I mean, in theory they're very different bands, but there's something about the recording process, riffs and lyrics on this song which has the same feel as Sabbath.

They always sounded as if they lived next door and never got a record deal. This is what imagination and fun in playing together is all about.

Many acid nights playing air guitar, bass and drums.

Can still remember the night at a mates place when we all went out looking for gold top mushrooms on a full moon,. We found them and then went back to their place and listened to Hawkwind. It was one of those nights that became part of who you are.
