I was introduced to the band by this song and for a while, It was only one I knew them by. However, after becoming more familiar with them, this is only the tip of an iceberg

This song is criminally underrated. It should have won all the awards the year it was released.

Considering this song is about Love, and the patience love can bring. I am from California and my sister lives in Texas.  She and her husband are like this couple. when we think of country folk we image country music... Instead of country lyrics. This song is very very powerful in the aspect of universal acceptance. Love is Love, no matter if you have a cowboy hat on or dreadlocks. Love is the Universal Truth. 

This is such an underrated song that deserves so much more publicity.

Those who are afraid to look deeper only see racist cowboys and religious fanatics, it's defense mechanism. Internally the horror of having to genuinely care for your neighbor or fall unconditionally in love with someone is simply to great a reality to deal with and therefore must be destroyed to perpetuate the illusion that is your life...
