West, on a plane bound west
I see her stretching out below
Land, blessed mother land
The place where i was born
Scars, yeah she’s got her scars
Sometimes it starts to worry me Cause lose, i don’t wanna lose
Sight of who we are
From the mountains high
To the wave crashed coast
There’s a way to find
Better days i know
It’s been a long hard ride
Got a ways to go But this is still the place
That we all call home
Free, nothing feels like free
Though it sometimes means we don’t get along
Cause same, no we’re not the same
But that’s what makes us strong
Brave, gotta call it brave
To chase that dream across the sea
Names, and they signed their names
For something they believed
Red, how the blood ran red
And we laid our dead in sacred ground
Just think, wonder what they think
If they could see us now
It’s been a long hard ride
And i won’t lose hope
This is still the place
That we all call home
I'm stationed overseas and every time I fly home, this song comes to mind, 11 hours of waiting, waiting to see that shoreline coming out of nowhere, home.
This is a good Song, too bad it takes the bad in life to motivate us to seek the good. What if all of those that gave their lives could see us now. Would they have made that sacrifice? I know I am going to hear it now.. But yes God Bless America. What ever god you believe in, because that is what makes you hope and dream. So chase that Dream and live life to the fullest.
The Year is 2020, a deadly disease sweeps across the world, our country feeling divided and hateful towards one another, and all seems lost, but then I remember, we're still all in this together, we still support one another, and this place is still home!

This song brings tears. Happy tears, I'm happy I live in the United States of America. Proud to have such brave soldiers fighting for our freedom, and sad to see them die for it. To any soldier, retired or still active, thank you for what you have done or do.
The message I get from this song is the main reason I want to visit America. I don't want to see large cities and buildings. I want to see the fields of a thousand acres, the towns and villages of the humble and proud, and the cowboys who fiercely protects their women. I'm no American but I relate to that "home feeling" very strongly. Love from Sweden.
Literally the first song I heard on the car radio after living in Korea for years in 2011.
We've lost it and this message is now called "white supremacy"
Sometimes we all forget what it took to make this country our home. The sacrifices that have been made by many so we can all go to bed at night with out a tyrant threating our lives. The USA is not perfect, but there is no such thing as perfection, when it comes to governments. Our diversity makes it have to struggle harder so every American can have a chance to have a better life, while at the same time we want the people of other countries to also live a good life. That is what makes us a great nation.
