Saw this performed live at the Jazz Showcase in Chicago. I was about 10 feet from the band stand and it was Charlie's birthday. He came to our table to eat his cake when the band took a break. My girlfriend, Charles Mingus and me. He was interested in my girlfriend, I concluded.
