I actually knew this version first, before I listened to the origional which is Maroon 5's song.
And for the record, GD (YG) BOUGHT this song, not STOLE it!

Maroon 5's song was released in 2002, GD's version was in 2006.
This was the homework that YG gave to GD when he was a trainee, he had to make a new song of his own style based on Maroon 5's This Love beat

For anyone still wondering -- or hasn't bothered to look up the origins of this song -- YES, the original is by Maroon 5. And YES, this is an official remake. The release date for Maroon 5's song was 2002. Purportedly, GDragon himself, not another YG producer or director, purchased rights to the song. This release is legit from all standpoints; it's not "sampled" or "ripped off" or "stolen". So stop spewing speculative, uninformed nonsense about who released what first or who copied what; it serves no purpose other than to spread misinformation.
