I love how the drums act almost as a heartbeat, so when its mentioned that the protagonist is shooting up, the drums get faster like a heart beating. This song is pure genius

This is the kind of music that you don’t listen to often but when you do it hits you hard.

I was 15 years active addiction, lost my whole world, family and everything I owned. I'm now in AOD (Alcohol and Other Drugs/ Drug & Alcohol support work) been clean and sober 5-6 years now, I lost track. Someone once described heroin as "Like a hug from mom"...most befitting analogy I've ever heard.

I love scrolling through the comments while this song plays, feels like a documentary as all these different ppl share their stories. All of that have gotten clean or are trying too, keep fighting !!!

To have a song in 1967 titled "Heroin" which explicitly states the effects of said drug was unheard of, these guys were VERY ahead of their time
