I’ll smile if I want to
I’m not afraid, gonna flaunt it too
What a glow when you’re living true
Yeah
I’m living for the right now
I had a few friends show me how
I take a deep breath and blow it out
Let it go But listen I I can’t wait to see what’s around the corner
I can’t wait to soar
Baby, I lie awake and I watch you sleeping thinking its the little things that
make a home
Like dancing in the kitchen in the pale moonlight
Only care in the world is that our kids are all right
Daddy loves momma and momma loves him
Tomorrow we get to do it over again
So smile at me baby, take my breath away
With the good Lord willing, I’ll be happy to say
That daddy loves momma and momma loves him
Tomorrow we get to do it over again
I feel like I’m gonna win
And I’m as proud as I’ve ever been
Cause I’m surrounded with some good friends
Yeah, good friends, good friends
I’m forever like a tattoo, yeah
I got to stay sticky cause I gotta be the glue for
My girl, my friends, my home, family, I do it all
Truly I can’t wait to see what’s around the corner
I can’t wait to soar
But baby, I lie awake and I watch you sleeping thinking its the little things
that make a home
Yeah
Cause we’ll be dancing in the kitchen in the pale moonlight
Only care in the world is that our kids are all right
Daddy loves momma and momma loves him
Tomorrow we get to do it over again
So smile at me baby, take my breath away
With the good Lord willing, I’ll be happy to say
That daddy loves momma and momma loves him
Tomorrow we get to do it over again
We found
Our home
Something we can build for years
The young
And old
I’ll be there to wipe your tears
We all get to see
Who we grow up to be
And anchor when in doubt
An ocean when in drought
We aim for it all
We lift of these walls
To make this house our home
Dancing in the kitchen in the pale moonlight
Only care in the world is that our kids are all right
Daddy loves momma and momma loves him
Tomorrow we get to do it over again
So smile at me baby, take my breath away
With the good Lord willing, I’ll be happy to say
That daddy loves momma and momma loves him
Tomorrow we get to do it over again
Dancing in the kitchen in the pale moonlight
Only care in the world is that our kids are all right
Daddy loves momma and momma loves him
Tomorrow we get to do it over again
So smile at me baby, take my breath away
With the good Lord willing, I’ll be happy to say
That daddy loves momma and momma loves him
Tomorrow we get to do it over again
"We found our home" "something we can build for years" This is the greatest goal anyone can have. Some very powerful lyrics. This song will help keep your eye on the ball. Nice one Blue October!
There's something so beautiful and special about finally finding happiness after years of pain and depression. It's like those of us who have real demons like this get to experience a different kind of happiness when we get better than those who haven't been through it.
this song helped me get off of cocaine. it helped me realize i wasn't only losing myself but wife and kids. the first time i heard this song i decided enough was enough. 41 days sober.
Thank you for making songs that help people. I see the beauty in life again. I can honestly say this song helped save my life.
10 years ago listening to Blue October was sadness. Now to see him happy lets me know that I can also find happiness. Suicide isn't the answer. Find your happiness, just like Justin did. There's always a new hope!
Hearing this song after hearing "hate me" makes me really hope he's finally living the kind of life depicted here. That hes the picture of what the other side of addiction and/or depression is, that the eternal struggle to laps or ruminate is manageable.
My wife and I are in the hospital right now getting ready to have our first child and this song makes my heart leap with joy with the fact that very soon I am going to be a daddy and will get to experience this love and bonding of a family.
The lyrics display a deep understanding of what childhood is like... for a child, seeing and knowing that your parents love each other (as well as you), you can have peace and comfort and the kind of childhood every child deserves... no stress and fear and burdens keeping them from fully enjoying and loving life. The best line is, "we get to do it over again". That is childhood exactly, as it should be anyway. Life is simple, and every day is new... they just want to do it all over again, there is no boredom in repetition if what is being repeated is at it's heart good.
One of two songs I played constantly while pregnant with the baby I thought I'd never be able to have, she's almost 3 now and this song still brings a tear to my eye
The journey that Justin has made and the struggles he's overcome are so apparent from the evolution of his songs. I love it. Absolutely amazed everytime I watch Hate Me and follow it up with Home or Fear.
